| ORIGIN/HABITAT: Colombia. This species is widely distributed in the Eastern Cordillera from near Ocaña in the Department of Norte de Sandander southward to near Santa Barbara in the Department of Cundinamarca. Plants grow at 8000-11,800 ft. (2440-3600 m) in forests, sometimes described as thin, and on roadside embankments. -- Source: Charles Baker |
